New Pics

Here are a few pics of the girls. Sophie's fun thing to do is pick her own strawberries from the backyard and eating them. She looks like the first picture when she comes in from outside. She is really keeping me on my toes. That girl is into EVERYTHING! Yesterday I found her putting reciepts into the toliet. UHGGG. We're getting things packed up. It finally feels like we're moving. I'm so glad we don't have to do this again for awhile. I'll be sure to email my new address.

I wanted to update you guys on some fantastic new music I've been listening to. The first is Wilco's new disc, "Sky Blue Sky." It's more like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, though not entirely. The Shins new disc is great, "Wincing the Night Away." Also, an album called "Selwa." It is a Tibetan singer with ambient sort of music to back her up. It's very relaxing. Your kids might like it. "Mi
Sueno" by Ibrahim Ferrer is great. And, of course, Bjork's "Volta."

yes indeed

yeah, that's right...i have nothing better to do than take pictures of my kid everyday and post them on this blog. I am not ashamed of this. okay maybe a little ashamed. but seriously, what is a person supposed to do with a seven month old all day, everyday? no really, i'm open for suggestions. I've taken to simply mimicking her when she's annoying me. real mature, i know. sometimes we lie on the floor and i do a pilates stretch called the happy baby. just two perfectly normal, well adjusted gals laying on the living room floor in the middle of the day.

Here's a picture you all might enjoy. Did I mention that I'm teaching one class at EMU this fall? College writing. I have two stories out at magazines right now. Haven't heard back from either one.

I started a new story this week. It is going well, though I am tending to overwrite. I can take it all out later.

Not to brag or anything, but I have a smart son. He got on the A honor roll at school, and he scored a 102% on his final math test. Got that from me, he did.

ok gretch, this is more confusing to me than my web page. that's how easy the web page thing was. becks, good to hear from you. I wish we could all go out tonight for a few drinks and have some good laughs. Instead I'm indulging on rhubarb/strawberry crisp. I don't have any new pictures to post but when I do I'll be sure to share them with you all. this blog thing is free, right? Not much to say. Miss everyone!

wow...blogging. who'da thunk it

hello. i thought perhaps it might be fun to start a gusler family blog. i wouldn't be shocked if it turns out to be an enormous flop but i could be wrong. maybe we're all a little more technologically advanced then i think. so on a blog, you can post pictures or just write. maybe our musings will be inspiration for chad... or maybe not. i don't know. to start things off with a bang, i've posted some recent pictures of the maddog. she's becoming squirmy and difficult to keep entertained. i think the stage i enjoy is coming to an end. hope to hear from someone soon. blogging rules. dude.
