WINTER

Just posting a few more pics.  These winter days make me miss having you all around just to hang out with in our pjs, drinking cups of coffee, laughing lots.  I'm still looking into plane tickets for April.  Mom, what is your schedule like the week of April 14th-22nd?  I'm thinking of bringing the girls.  Tickets are $168 but they are all overnight trips which might be okay.  It would be good to be home again.  Well, I need to go start my day.

Welcome Gracie

I'd like to introduce the new member of our family.  Gracie's a very sweet and gentle girl who we got from the humane society this past Friday. Emma fell in love with her the minute we took her out of  the kennel to walk around.  We looked at two other yellow labs while we were there, but Emma didn't want to have anything to do with them.  She just kept saying, "I like Gracie.  Let's go get Gracie."  I have to admit that Emma knows how to pick out a dog.  She's awesome with the girls.  We couldn't have found a better dog for our family.

here are some pictures from christmas and a few of maddie milling around the house. she's an absolute goober. steph- i'm glad you decided to join the blog, you can give us losers who never leave the country some lessons in world travel while you're in russia. we'll all just live vicariously through you. hope all is well with everyone.

The Best Christmas Ever... Seriously!

Thanks to everyone for contributing to my best Christmas ever! I can't explain how wonderful it was to share the excitement with the kids and to get to know everyone better. I feel soooooo lucky to have the coolest cousins in the world! You might think I'm being slightly cheezy here but I'm serious! I just said to my mom after looking through the pictures already on the blog, "Can you believe that we're related to these awesome people?!" Of course she thinks it's all great as well.

I'm getting ready to head back to school and then off to Russia around February 1. This blog will be a great way to stay connected.

Why isn't anybody blogging? I want to see some pics of the Gusler Christmas. Here are a few pics of our New Year trip and some Christmas pics. For New Years, we were supposed to go to a lookout tower near Mt. Hood with our friends Scott and Lori but there was so much snow that we weren't able to get to it. Instead we played in the snow with the kids, then came back to our house and had a slumber party. We had a great time!
